Exploring Provincetown

Every time I sit down to look over local event calendars I’m truly wowed at how many great events there are in Provincetown. From art, to music to national Gay Pride events. No other Cape Cod town is hopping like Provincetown! Here are three fun things coming up soon. 2018 is already off to a memorable start!

Sights: On Friday, May 25 at 6PM the PAAM has an opening for local artist Cynthia Packard titled “My Voyage.” Cynthia is a renowned artist and Provincetown local who’s work never ceases to impress. Her show, curated by Breon Dunigan, will be up until June 24 so pop in for a look.

Sounds: The Provincetown Town Hall at 254 Commercial is the place to be Sunday, May 27th if you want to catch the Indigo Girls perform in a great little venue for the benefit of the Sandy Hook Promise Organization. The Indigo Girls always put on a great show and Sandy Hook Promise is a non-profit started by parents who lost kids in the Sandy Hook shooting. They have been working tirelessly for commonsense gun reforms, increased mental health supports, and live shooter training for schools. For tickets click here.

What’s New: Provincetown’s first-ever Gay Pride Festival will be taking place June 1 through the 3. There’s a ton of parties, art, and more planned for the weekend. Details on the celebration can be found here and tickets to get you into all the action are here.
